New Delhi: The Unique Identification Authority of India has temporarily halted a vital facility that allows you to change the address of your Aadhaar card's address with no identity proof.
UIDAI permits the users of Aadhaar cards to change their address without any documents. Aadhaar card holders can alter their address once they accept the authorization to the identity verifier. An address verifier could be a family member, friend or landlord who will allow the Aadhaar card owner to utilize their address for proof.
UIDAI is now stopping this feature. UIDAI provided a response to an Card owner by tweeting that the ability to update address on the Aadhaar Card via Address Validation Letter was removed. UIDAI has requested to the Aadhaar Issuers to inform users of the possibility to update their address using a accepted PoA document.
Dear Resident Please note that the Address Validation Letter service has been removed until the next notice. Kindly request your address update using another valid PoA document from the list https://t.co/BeqUA0pkqL
